The craft of conversation

The skills behind a good conversation

Useful chatter skills include clear writing, attention to detail, empathy and sales judgment. You need to remember context, stay in a creator’s approved voice and choose an appropriate moment for an offer. Bunny Agency also tests written English. You can practise these skills before applying without pretending to have professional chatting experience.

Read the message before writing the reply

Start with what the subscriber is saying, rather than the response you planned to send. Notice the topic, the tone and the question being asked. A clear answer to the actual message gives the conversation somewhere to go.

For practice, write a short fictional message from someone who is tired after work. Reply in plain English, acknowledge what they said and ask a relevant question. Keep the example non-explicit. Then check whether your question follows naturally from their message.

This exercise is preparation, not an official test or scoring rule. It helps you notice when your writing becomes generic. The Academy’s skills breakdown provides further context for the competencies used in the role.

Use memory with care

Fan notes help conversations continue across shifts. The skill is deciding what context matters and recording it accurately. You should be able to distinguish what someone actually said from what you inferred.

Try reading a fictional exchange, setting it aside and writing a brief handover. Then compare the note with the original. Did you record the current topic? Did you invent an intention? Would another writer know what the person was waiting for?

In the job, use the CRM and follow the agency’s confidentiality rules. Do not keep private copies of subscriber messages as personal practice material. For an application, an invented example can show how you think without exposing anyone’s information.

Write in a voice that is not your own

A creator-approved persona guides your language and boundaries. You need to follow that document even if your personal writing style is different. Consistency includes the kind of words you choose and what you avoid saying.

Make a harmless practice persona with a clear tone, such as warm and brief, and write a welcome message. Rewrite it for a more playful tone. Check that the meaning remains accurate in both versions. The point is control over your writing, not a claim about a real creator.

Do not invent personal facts or offer something outside the persona’s boundaries to keep a conversation going. When you are unsure, the account’s SOPs should guide your next step. See how the persona fits into a shift.

Balance rapport with a clear offer

The role includes selling PPV content at the creator’s prices. You need enough sales instinct to make an offer, and enough judgment to recognise when it fits. A friendly exchange that never reaches an appropriate offer does not cover the whole job.

Practise with a neutral product example. Write a short exchange where someone asks about what is available, then offer an option that answers their interest. Write a calm response to a decline. Avoid pressure, invented discounts or promises you cannot support.

Use the Academy’s script guide as a reference, not a substitute for reading. The creator’s approved content and pricing determine what you may offer in actual work.

Show your judgment in the application

Bunny Agency asks for written English at B1 or above, empathy, a sales instinct and thick skin. It does not require prior chatting experience. Customer support, sales, copywriting and social media work can provide relevant examples if you have done them.

Explain a real situation where you listened, adapted your wording or stayed calm. Describe what you did in simple language. If your experience comes from study or everyday life, say so. Honest detail is more useful than giving yourself a job title you never held.

Be realistic about the adult-industry context. Handling explicit or rude messages calmly is part of this opening. You also need to be reliable for fixed 8-hour shifts, 6 days a week. These are conditions to consider before you invest time in the assessment.

The hiring guide explains how English, emotional judgment and simulated chat are assessed. Practice can help you prepare, but it cannot guarantee selection. Use the process to demonstrate your own ability and decide whether the work suits you.
